Privacy Policy
This policy explains how MoveProof (“we”, “us”) handles information when you use the MoveProof mobile app. MoveProof is a condition documentation and evidence pack tool for rental move-in and move-out. We are not a lawyer, tenancy deposit scheme, or escrow.
1. Data we collect
We collect account details you provide (such as email and role), property and lease information you enter, inspection photos, videos, notes and tags, dispute pack content, invite/join codes you create, billing plan status, optional location attached to captures if you enable it, and basic device and app usage needed to operate the service (including crash/diagnostic data from the store).
We do not sell personal data. We do not use your inspection photos to train AI models or to advertise to you.
2. Photos, media, and ownership
Photos and inspection records belong to you. We store them so you can build timestamped condition proof and evidence packs. Guest report links and shared packs remain under the control of people you share with once sent. Location metadata is optional and used only as fraud-prevention / proof of capture context when you turn it on.
3. How we use data
- Create and authenticate your account
- Store properties, inspections, disputes, and invites
- Sync media you capture (including queued uploads when you are offline)
- Send service emails such as password reset (when enabled)
- Process in-app purchases through Google Play / Apple when you buy a plan
- Improve reliability and security of the app
4. Processors and third parties
We use infrastructure providers to run the app, including Supabase (authentication, database, file storage) and the Google Play store (distribution and, if you purchase, billing). If you sign in with Google, Google processes that sign-in. We only share data as needed to provide these services or if required by law.
5. Retention
Free cloud backups are typically kept about 30 days after a lease ends. Move Pack keeps evidence for about 90 days after lease end. Plus and Pro keep cloud backups longer while subscribed. You can export or delete account data from Settings → Privacy & data in the app, subject to legal exceptions and copies already shared with others.
6. Your rights
Depending on where you live (including EU/EEA, UK, and similar laws), you may request access, correction, export, or erasure of personal data we process. Use in-app Privacy & data controls first. Already-shared evidence packs may be outside our control once delivered.
7. Children
MoveProof is not directed at children under 13 (or the equivalent age in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
